Overview
Dr. Sam Khair was raised in Waynesboro, Georgia. He received his Bachelor Of Science degree from Augusta College and received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. After completing his residency in Family Medicine at Savannah Memorial Hospital of Georgia, he moved to Henry County where he has been practicing for over twenty years. Dr. Khairis board certified through the American Board of Family Medicine and is a distinguished member of the Georgia Association of Family Physicians. Affiliated with Piedmont-Henry Hospital, he has served three terms as Chief of the Family Practice Department. Dr. Khair is the owner of Khair Family Practice, where he takes pride in building doctor-patient relationships that last through the life course. He earned his medical degree from Emory University in 2017 along with a Masters in Public Health focusing on the health impacts of 'social determinants'such as lifestyle, social situation, and stress. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Washington while also obtaining a special certification to perform medical acupuncture. In 2023, he completed a two-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Tuscon, Arizona and specializes in Integrative Medicine and Medical Acupuncture.Dr. Kappel offers comprehensive, holistic primary care combining the best of modern medical treatments, patient-centered care, and integrative approaches such as acupuncture and mind-body medicine.
