Dr. Gregory A. Delaurier

Dr. Swetha Ramakrishnan is a board-certified colorectal surgeon who grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey. She graduated with the highest distinction from a combined 7 year BS/MD program from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in life science and a minor in German language. She received her MD degree from Jefferson Medical College where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She has been a member of the Piedmont Atlanta Hospital staff since 2009 and Piedmont Henry Hospital since 2015. She is also the primary colon and rectal surgeon at The Shepherd Center, a world-renowned rehabilitation center for catastrophic spinal cord and brain injuries. She is board certified in colon and rectal surgery, as well as general surgery. She is a Fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She was named one of Atlanta's Top Doctors by Atlanta Magazine in 2020, 2021, and 2022.Dr. McCaffrey performs treatment for a wide range of colorectal issues. She also enjoys performing screening and diagnostic colonoscopies, as well as a variety of office-based and surgical procedures for anorectal issues.In her free time, Dr. McCaffrey enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling the world, experiencing new cultures, and collecting stamps in her passport.
