He is a native of Orangeburg and graduated in 1994 with his Associate Degree in Nursing from Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College. He then graduated from USC in 2004 with his BSN and in 2018 with his MSN. He was a Certified Nephrology Nurse from 2009-2017 and certified by the Army in Case Management from 2014-2019.
He had 20+ years experience in outpatient Nephrology. While he was on Active Duty with the Army he served at Womack Army Medical Center where he received training in long term patient care including Orthopedics, Pain Management, Infectious Disease and Mental Health.
