Philosophy of care | I like to treat every patient as I would want my family member treated. It is important to take the time to listen and really get to know each patient. My goal is to provide individualized, compassionate care to each patient. | Why I entered medicine | I entered the health care field to help others, starting in the emergency department as a nurse. Over time autoimmune diseases piqued my interest, and I completed a nurse practitioner program to further assist that patient population. It has been very rewarding to care for multiple sclerosis and demyelinating disease patients. | Community involvement | I support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and all they do for our patients as well as the Latoff MS Foundation. I also enjoy volunteering at church and my children's school. | Personal interests | I like reading historical fiction, swimming, hiking, going to the beach and spending time with my family.
