Dr. Papaliodis has a special interest in cartilage injury and, after his fellowship training, spent time at the Harvard Cartilage Repair Center in Massachusetts learning advanced techniques in joint preservation. He is fellowship-trained in sports medicine from the renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California. Staying active in his field, Dr. Papaliodis has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstracts, and continues to present his research at national orthopedic meetings and conferences. He has affiliations with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine. He is an emerging leader in the American Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Papaliodis has served as an assistant team physician and consultant to athletic teams such as the L.A. Lakers, L.A. Rams, L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Kings, Anaheim Ducks, and USC Trojans. He has also provided physician coverage for the PGA and Senior PGA tours. Dr. Papaliodis speaks fluent Greek, and he has been known to lead amateur Greek and rock cover bands. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, playing golf, and spending time with his family.
