I am a Board Certified Psychiatric and mental health Nurse practitioner. I am licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Maine. I have worked in the field of mental health for several years, starting as a patient care coordinator of a mental health clinic. Later as a Psychiatric Registered nurse and proceeded to Vanderbilt University where I earned the MSN degree with a specialization in Psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner, some years back. My dedication to patient care during my clinical in Nursing school earned me the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nursing Student in 2018.
I have experience working in correctional settings and inpatient psych hospital. I provide psychiatric evaluation and medication management to treat conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, major depression, PTSD etc.
My past and current work experiences helped me to develop empathy and commitment to people with mental health challenges.
