Dr. Klancnik is a magna cum laude graduate of Yale University. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha and Hobart Amory Hare honor medical societies. He completed his internship at the Lankenau Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital. He completed his medical and surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital and Columbia University. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology at New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Klancnik is a member of numerous medical organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retinal Specialists, and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
