Overview
I consider it a great privilege to care for women through the practice of obstetrics and gynecology. I have loved women’s health since my OBGYN rotation during medical school. This specialty enables me to care for women from adolescence through the menopause transition and beyond. My practice includes a wide scope of clinical activities. I perform obstetric care, gynecologic surgery including minimally invasive procedures and office care including well women visits and management of gynecologic problems. I thoroughly enjoy working in academic medicine. The academic environment enables me to remain up to date with the latest medical advances so that I can provide the best evidence-based care. My academic interests include medical education and caring for women with a family history of breast and/or ovarian cancer. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family. My children never cease to entertain me with their endless supplies of energy.

As a maternal fetal medicine specialist, I take care of sick moms, sick babies, and sick pregnancies. Each day, while I get to help women and their families with big wins and happy moments, I also have the opportunity to help them through sad times and some of the worst moments of their lives. It is these hard and sad moments that make the happy ones even more meaningful. I also spend some of my time helping to teach medical students about Ob/Gyn.
