Dr. Wheeler furthered his training by completing a spine fellowship at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland and had the opportunity to train with one of the most experienced and well-known spine surgeons in the country. Dr. Wheeler has given several presentations and has been published numerous times for research in his field. He is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, North American Spine Society, Texas Medical Association, and American Medical Association. When he’s not treating patients, Dr. Wheeler enjoys eating spicy food, staying active, and spending time with his wife, Sarah.
