Overview
Children are wonderful, and they should have every opportunity to enjoy their childhood. Unfortunately, a large number of children have some type of gastrointestinal issue. Gastrointestinal problems have a significant negative effect on quality of life. In my clinic, I am able to have a positive impact on the lives of the children and families that I care for. For me, active listening is a critical part of the art of medicine. What I learn when I truly listen to my patients helps guide me to create the best plan for care and allows me to make meaningful connections with my patients and their families. My hope is that my patients go home feeling that they have a better understanding of their gastrointestinal health and what can be done to improve it. My special interests include celiac disease, abdominal migraine and cyclic vomiting syndrome, and fatty liver disease in children. When I’m not working, my husband and I enjoy the adventures we have while raising four children.
