I joined Duke Health as a pediatric nurse practitioner in 2015. I love my patients and families, what I do each day, and who I work with. Pediatrics is so special to me because you get the privilege of providing care for patients from infancy through adolescence, and my favorite part is watching them grow and develop through each stage of childhood. I truly cherish the relationships I have with families and am honored to be their medical provider. I’m a mom myself, and it has given me a lot of perspective and empathy for the families I see and how I practice. I try to take care of my patients the way I would want my children to be cared for. I'm a Raleigh native who grew up in the Triangle. My uncle was a primary care provider in the Wake Forest area, and my father is a local dentist, so healthcare is in my blood. I treat patients aged 5 years and older, with a special interest in those with diabetes. I have many family members with diabetes, so it's a disease that is close to my heart. I believe in partnering with my patients to find the best solutions that fit their concerns. I'm here as a tool or resource for them, but they are ultimately in control of their own lives and healthcare needs.
