I was attracted to internal medicine because it offered me the opportunity to care for a variety of medical problems across multiple organ systems. As a primary care physician, I enjoy being the “front line” medical provider for diagnosis and treatment of chronic illnesses, promoting health and preventing disease in the general population. I like solving medical problems and managing complicated medical illnesses, and I value the relationships I develop with patients over time. The majority of my time outside of work is dedicated to my family and enjoying the beautiful North Carolina outdoors with them. I am also fascinated by ancient cultures and have a strong interest in archeology.
