Dr. Kristel D. Leubner

Dr. Leubner grew up in rural Hamshire, Texas, dreaming of becoming a physician in a community much like her own. She had a very early fascination and curiosity about the body, illness, and how it was connected, which fueled the love she has for medicine. In her eyes, each patient’s story is a puzzle that someone special needs to piece together.

After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, Dr. Leubner received her medical degree from The University of North Texas Health Science Center Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She went on to train at The Waco Family Medicine Residency Program, which focused on rural and international medicine, completing that in 2008.

Dr. Leubner realized her childhood dream of becoming a rural family medicine practitioner and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She chose to practice at HealthPoint because she found its principle of providing patient-centered wellness consistent with her own.

Dr. Leubner practices medicine with a holistic and spiritually-guided approach; treating every facet of an individual’s physical and mental health which plays a vital role that keeps the body well. She believes that if you take the time to listen to the patient, they will ultimately tell you what is wrong with them.

She enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys out on their ranch, fishing, hunting, playing sports, playing the piano, cheers for UT football, and is an avid member of Caldwell Methodist Church.
