Mark K. Urman, MD has been in practice since 1994 and is widely recognized as one of the premier heart specialists in Los Angeles, having been acknowledged and awarded numerous accolades. He is dedicated to diagnosing, treating, managing and preventing diseases, conditions and disorders exclusively of the heart and cardiovascular system. Dr. Urman is the immediate-past Medical Director of the Preventive and Consultative Heart Center at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute and was the inaugural Medical Director of the Heart Center and a past Clinical Chief of the Division of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at both the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he has been recognized for his outstanding teaching of cardiology trainees.
Dr. Urman is one of a few select cardiologists in the US to have earned the esteemed recognition of being named a Fellow of the country’s two most prestigious professional cardiovascular organizations. In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA), honors that attest to his commitment to excellence, innovation and leadership in clinical cardiology, he is also a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE). Dr. Urman is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases and echocardiography.
