
Overview
Dr. Timothy Bednar grew up in Texas and went to Kingwood High School outside of Houston. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science with a minor in Business from Texas A&M University, graduating summa cum laude in 2007. He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston, Texas in 2011.
After an internship in General Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Dr. Bednar returned to the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston to complete both his Anesthesiology residency (2015) and fellowship training (2017) in Pain Medicine. In between completing his anesthesia training and starting his pain medicine fellowship, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch practicing Anesthesia and teaching residents.
Following his fellowship, Dr. Bednar moved to Austin, Texas, joining Dr. Silberberg at Greater Austin Pain Center in 2017. Dr. Bednar enjoys running, scuba diving, watching sports, and spending time with his wife and family.
