A Pilot Study of Fecal Microbiota Transplantation for Chronic Granulomatous Disease-Associated Colitis
Background: Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD) weakens the body's defense against germs. CGD can also damage the colon. It can cause inflammation (colitis) that disrupts the good bacteria. Placing good bacteria from donor stool into the intestine of a person with CGD (called fecal microbiota transplantation, or FMT) may help.
A Randomized Phase 3 Trial of Continuous vs. Intermittent Maintenance Therapy With Zanubrutinib as Upfront Treatment in Older Patients With Mantle Cell Lymphoma
Summary: This phase III trial tests whether continuous or intermittent zanubrutinib after achieving a complete remission (CR) with rituximab works in older adult patients with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have not received treatment in the past (previously untreated). Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody that may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Zanubrutinib may stop the growt...
Natural History and Genetics of Food Allergy and Related Conditions
Background: \- About 15 million Americans have a food allergy. Because there are no cures or effective prevention or treatment for food allergies, researchers want to learn more about them.
A Natural History Study of the Immune Regulation of Idiopathic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases: Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis, and Other Inflammatory Conditions of the Gut
Summary: This study will investigate in patients with Crohn s disease and ulcerative colitis how the body s immune system controls inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract (stomach and intestines)-specifically, how lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) function in inflammatory responses. This protocol does not involve any experimental treatments. Patients between the ages of 0 and 75 years of age with...
A Multi-Center, Randomized, Controlled Clinical Trial to Evaluate the Efficacy of Shenling Baizhu Granules in Preventing Recurrence of Low-Risk Colorectal Adenoma
Summary: The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Shenling Baizhu granules can prevent colorectal adenoma from coming back in people who had low-risk colorectal adenomas removed. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Can Shenling Baizhu granules lower the rate of colorectal adenoma returning after removal? * How safe is Shenling Baizhu granules when used long-term for preventing adenoma? * Whic...
The Impact of GLP-1 Agonist and GIP Agonist on Bowel Preparation Quality: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Summary: The goal of this clinical trial is to learn how GLP-1 and GIP agonists effect bowel preparation in patients scheduled for colonoscopies. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does GLP-1 and GIP agonist increase the rate of inadequate bowel preparation? * Does the quality of bowel preparation differ in patients who hold vs. those who continue a single dose of their GLP-1 or GIP agonist medica...
Evaluation of Therapeutic Strategy to Prevent Crohn's Disease Endoscopic poSToperatIve recurreNce Based on earlY Dosage of Faecal Calprotectin
Summary: Crohn's disease (CD) (\> 200,000 patients in France) is a chronic inflammatory disease that can lead to progression of intestinal destruction and impaired quality of life. Despite the widespread use of biotherapies, intestinal resections remain frequent (50% of patients over time). Unfortunately, surgery is not curative since 75% of patients experienced post-endoscopic operative recurrence (POR) (...
Five or Ten Year Colonoscopy for 1-2 Non-Advanced Adenomatous Polyps
Summary: This trial examines colorectal cancer incidence in participants with 1 to 2 non-advanced adenomas randomized to surveillance colonoscopy at 10 years compared to participants randomized to surveillance colonoscopy at 5 and 10 years.
Fasting Induced Hypoglycaemia in Anaesthetised Paediatric Patients
Summary: Fasting is a requirement to safely anesthetise patients referred for elective procedure, using the traditional 6/4/2 rule (6h for solid food or formula milk, 4h for breast milk and 2h for clear fluids), applied to all patients regardless of their age or weight. Reducing the aspiration risk however puts young children at higher risk of hypoglycemia due to the immaturity of their endocrine system an...
Detection of Endoscopic Resection Scars and Delineation of Recurrence Amongst Non-experts is Less Accurate Than Experts But Trainable in a Short Learning Intervention
Summary: Colorectal cancer is prevented by colonoscopy and polypectomy. Failure to recognize the endoscopic resection scar after Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) risks unrecognized recurrent or residual adenoma (RRA), which may propagate into post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer. Expert series suggest scar recognition and interrogation is well performed with a high negative predictive value of endoscopic i...
Comparative Analysis of AI Software and Conventional Colonoscopy for Enhanced Polyp Detection and Diagnosis: A Randomized Controlled Trial
Summary: Purpose \& Research Questions The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether artificial intelligence (AI) improves the detection of polyps and whether the system can classify the type and severity of detected changes. The investigators will also assess if there are any differences between the various AI systems and whether the polyps that may be missed are benign or malignant.
Colorectal Cancer Screnning Colonoscopy Under Hypnosis: A Multicenter Randomized Non-Inferiority Trial
Summary: Through this study, the effectiveness of hypnosis in the realization of a colonoscopy for the detection of colorectal cancer will be evaluated
