With my mother being a nurse, I was always exposed to medicine. I saw my parents helping people and was inspired to pursue medicine as a career. That, plus my love for sports, sciences, biomechanics and anatomy, led me toward orthopedics. It's very rewarding to help people get their function, motion and quality of life back. As a collegiate baseball player, I was drawn to the anatomy, biomechanics, and function of the upper extremity, and how to rehab and treat the common injuries.
